Oh, and in honor of Google's 10th anniversary, they made their earliest index (January 2001) available for searching. So I did an ego search. So depressing.
In January 2001, even though I know I was on some websites, Google did not find any mention of me. Other people with my name, but not me.
Today, with my current name, there are about 7 distinct entries for me - 4 from my freelance writing, one from a college alumni thing, and 3 from other people's Facebook pages. My own Facebook account didn't make the cut.
Then I googled suprstaticwoman, just to see. 141 entries, mostly from LJ. My alter-ego is 20 times more google-able than I am.
*sigh again*
ETA: Also, apparently I can't count or add up to 7. Or 8. Anyway, I think there were only 3 articles in the second google search, not 4.
